Does Bus Visor simulate real bus driving behavior?

Yes — for testing. With stop cadence or API bus stops enabled, the simulated vehicle (a) stops for passengers, (b) slows as it approaches each stop, and (c) accelerates away like a real driver. Open Bus Realism on the map route screen for optional behaviour: (d) harsh departures (accelerometer testing); (e) random emergency stops; (f) pothole dodging; (g–h) traffic lights (stop or speed up to make the light); (i) hard stops / accident simulation (front, side, back). Advanced scenarios are off by default.

Does Bus Visor track me in the background?

No. Bus Visor injects mock location only while you actively run a simulation. There is no hidden background tracking, no analytics SDK, and no advertising profile.

Is Bus Visor spyware?

No. Bus Visor uses Android's official Mock Location developer capability for software testing, demonstrations, and QA. You must enable it in Developer options and press Play to start simulation.

Does Bus Visor upload my saved routes?

Not by default. Saved routes stay on your device. Routes are sent over the network only when you use optional features (bus-stop lookup or voice routing), or when you explicitly export and share a GPX file yourself.

Do I need an account?

No. Core features work without registration or login in v1.0.0.

Does Bus Visor show ads?

No. v1.0.0 contains no advertising SDKs and does not sell your data.

What data goes to Google?

Map display and routing use Google Maps SDK, Google Routes API, and Google Places API. See Third-party services and Google's privacy policy.

How do I delete my data?

Delete saved routes in the app, revoke permissions in Android Settings, or uninstall Bus Visor. Email privacy@busvisor.com for additional requests.
